Where to begin... Let's start with a plan. How will I do this great feat of losing 100 pounds? Easy - one step at a time.
I am going old school on this blubber. No fancy diets eating nothing but bacon and grapefruit then switching to white fish and cucumber... No more "systems" or "plans" that drop 10 pounds then help you gain 15.
Using energy burns calories. If you burn more calories than you take in you lose weight. So I am imposing a 2000 calorie daily intake limit. This is far less than I am typically eating and will still give me satisfaction. I will be working out to burn additional calories using various techniques.
This is a life change. I will no longer be the fat guy. I am tired of making jokes at my own expense to break the tension in a room. Done going to the back of the clothes rack hoping they have one in my size. Done with the stupid machine I have to wear every night to keep me breathing (I suffer from sleep apnea - sleepapnea.org). DONE.
This week I will be setting up my account at the gym and getting prepared to start fresh. Jamie and I have been having a tough stretch and the exercise alone will give us a much needed energy boost!
